Ingredients:
Number of portions: 6
10 Sheet(s)
nori seaweed
2 Teaspoon(s)
sesame oil (or olive oil)
1-2 Teaspoon(s)
low-sodium soy sauce (adjust to taste)
1/2 Teaspoon(s)
garlic powder (optional)
1/2 Teaspoon(s)
onion powder (optional)
1/2 Teaspoon(s)
paprika (optional)
1/2 Teaspoon(s)
sesame seeds (optional)
1 Pinch(es)
salt (optional)
Preparation:
Preparation time: <15 min.
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Cut the nori sheets in half so that you have 20 smaller rectangles.
- In a small bowl, mix together the sesame oil and soy sauce. You can add the optional seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, sesame seeds, and a pinch of salt) to the oil and soy sauce mixture. This will create a flavorful seasoning for your nori snacks.
- Lay a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet.
- Lay a nori sheet flat on the parchment paper.
- Using a pastry brush, lightly brush the nori sheet with the oil and soy sauce mixture, ensuring even coverage.
- Place another nori sheet on top, sandwiching them together. Brush the top sheet with the oil and soy sauce mixture as well.
- Repeat this process with the remaining nori sheets, stacking and brushing each one with the seasoned oil.
- Once you have a stack of seasoned nori sheets, cut them into smaller squares or rectangles. You can cut them into quarters, eighths, or your preferred size.
- Arrange the small nori squares on the baking sheet, ensuring they are well-spaced and not overlapping.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 5-7 minutes, or until the nori sheets become crispy. Keep a close eye on them as they can burn quickly.
- Remove the baked nori snacks from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
- Once completely cool, store your Baked Nori Snacks in an airtight container to maintain their crispiness.
