Ingredients:

Number of portions: 6
10 Sheet(s)
nori seaweed
2 Teaspoon(s)
sesame oil (or olive oil)
1-2 Teaspoon(s)
low-sodium soy sauce (adjust to taste)
1/2 Teaspoon(s)
garlic powder (optional)
1/2 Teaspoon(s)
onion powder (optional)
1/2 Teaspoon(s)
paprika (optional)
1/2 Teaspoon(s)
sesame seeds (optional)
1 Pinch(es)
salt (optional)

Preparation:

Preparation time: <15 min.
  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Cut the nori sheets in half so that you have 20 smaller rectangles.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the sesame oil and soy sauce. You can add the optional seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, sesame seeds, and a pinch of salt) to the oil and soy sauce mixture. This will create a flavorful seasoning for your nori snacks.
  4. Lay a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet.
  5. Lay a nori sheet flat on the parchment paper.
  6. Using a pastry brush, lightly brush the nori sheet with the oil and soy sauce mixture, ensuring even coverage.
  7. Place another nori sheet on top, sandwiching them together. Brush the top sheet with the oil and soy sauce mixture as well.
  8. Repeat this process with the remaining nori sheets, stacking and brushing each one with the seasoned oil.
  9. Once you have a stack of seasoned nori sheets, cut them into smaller squares or rectangles. You can cut them into quarters, eighths, or your preferred size.
  10. Arrange the small nori squares on the baking sheet, ensuring they are well-spaced and not overlapping.
  11. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 5-7 minutes, or until the nori sheets become crispy. Keep a close eye on them as they can burn quickly.
  12. Remove the baked nori snacks from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
  13. Once completely cool, store your Baked Nori Snacks in an airtight container to maintain their crispiness.
