Ingredients:

Number of portions: 2
2
frozen bananas
1 Cup(s)
coconut milk
1 Cup(s)
pumpkin/winter squash puree (canned or fresh)
1 Tablespoon(s)
fresh ginger
1/2 Teaspoon(s)
ground cinnamon
1 Teaspoon(s)
ground turmeric
1/4 Teaspoon(s)
ground nutmeg
1/4 Teaspoon(s)
ground clove
1/4 Teaspoon(s)
ground cardamon
2 Tablespoon(s)
raw honey (adjust to your taste)
1/2 Teaspoon(s)
pure vanilla extract
Dash
black pepper
Some
icecubes

Preparation:

Preparation time: 30-60 min.
  1. Slice or chop the bananas and freeze them for a minimum of 2 hours. This step ensures a creamy texture for your smoothie.
  2. If using fresh squash or pumpkin, roast the pieces for 40 minutes at 400°F (200°C) until soft. Any leftover roasted squash can be stored in the fridge for future use. Alternatively, you can use premade puree for convenience.
  3. In a blender, add all the ingredients in the order listed.
  4. Blend on high for at least 2 minutes, or until the mixture becomes creamy and smooth. If your blender is not very powerful, you may need to blend for a bit longer. Remember to scrape down the sides of the blender as needed to ensure all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  5. If the smoothie is too thick, add more milk to reach your desired consistency. For a thicker texture, add a couple more ice cubes and blend again.
  6. Taste the smoothie and adjust the spices according to your preference. You can add more cinnamon, ginger, or nutmeg for extra flavor.
  7. If you prefer a smoothie bowl, pour the mixture into two small bowls and decorate as desired. Otherwise, simply pour the smoothie into glasses and enjoy immediately.
  8. Any leftover smoothie can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
