Ingredients:
Number of portions: 1
4
fish fillets (such as tilapia, cod, haddock, or any firm white fish)
4 Tablespoon(s)
unsalted vegan butter
4 Clove(s)
garlic, minced
2 Tablespoon(s)
fresh parsley, finely chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
2 Tablespoon(s)
olive oil
Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Preparation:
Preparation time: 15-30 min.
- Pat dry the fish fillets with paper towels and season them generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a skillet or frying pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until it's shimmering but not smoking.
- Carefully add the fish fillets to the hot skillet. Cook the fish for about 3-4 minutes on one side until it turns golden brown and easily releases from the pan.
- Flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes on the other side or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
- While the fish is cooking, in a separate small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic. Stir in the chopped parsley and remove the garlic butter from heat.
- Once the fish is cooked, transfer the fillets to a serving plate.
- Pour the garlic butter mixture over the cooked fish fillets, ensuring they are coated evenly.
- Serve the pan-seared garlic butter fish immediately while hot, optionally garnishing with additional chopped parsley and lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the fish.
