Ingredients:

Number of portions: 1
4
fish fillets (such as tilapia, cod, haddock, or any firm white fish)
4 Tablespoon(s)
unsalted vegan butter
4 Clove(s)
garlic, minced
2 Tablespoon(s)
fresh parsley, finely chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
2 Tablespoon(s)
olive oil
Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Preparation:

Preparation time: 15-30 min.
  1. Pat dry the fish fillets with paper towels and season them generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a skillet or frying pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until it's shimmering but not smoking.
  3. Carefully add the fish fillets to the hot skillet. Cook the fish for about 3-4 minutes on one side until it turns golden brown and easily releases from the pan.
  4. Flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes on the other side or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  5. While the fish is cooking, in a separate small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic. Stir in the chopped parsley and remove the garlic butter from heat.
  6. Once the fish is cooked, transfer the fillets to a serving plate.
  7. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the cooked fish fillets, ensuring they are coated evenly.
  8. Serve the pan-seared garlic butter fish immediately while hot, optionally garnishing with additional chopped parsley and lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the fish.
